Puerto Vallarta fishing report March. This means spring is just around the corner. Thewater temp is heating up and so will the fishing here in Puerto Vallarta. IN the last week it was up almost 6 deg, this means the sardines will be showing up in huge schools. The water temperature is hold around 78 deg. The sailfish, marlin and mahi mahi follow them each year. This means we will be loading up on big fish. Last week the sailfish action and marlin action was off the charts. Most of the amazing fish are being caught on the troll. One of the best areas the fish have been biting is just north of Puerto Vallarta around Punta Mita. The pitch baits are working well and these pelagic fish come to surface to feed during the right times of the day between the big tide changes. These are the vesy best time to be on the water fishing. Check tides before leaving or call me for the best times here in Puerto vallarta Mexico. Remember some of the best water temp for sailfish and marlin is in the high 70’s. Check with us and I will look at the charts of the surface temp and let everyone know where the fish will be biting.
We love March fishing as on most trips we can fish offshore and still have time to come inshore and try for the world class roosertfish we catch in March fishng here in Puerto Vallarta. These unbelievable fish can be caught using the 5 to ten pound live bonita. When these fish hit the game is one and can last a while trying to catch one of these big guys
The March fishing inshore is great as well as the sardines show up and of course all the bay fish follow then here into the beautiful bay. There’s a little bit of everything to catch in the bay like bonita, Spanish mackerel, tunas, mahi mahi. When the sardines and other bait fish show up the Puerto Vallarta fish can’t be beat any where in the world. Come down with the family or our hardcore buddies for some of the spring fishing we have here to offer. You should
