The fishing remains hot as the weather. The last couple of days in Febuary the fishing here in Puerto Vallarta has been great. The mahi mahi are showing up along with sailfish just outside the bay about 3 miles. The north side has been best. The bay fishing is producing yellowtail, roosterfish, snapper, tuna and bonita. The area up north close to Lo de Marcos has been seeing lot of stripped marlin and sailfish on the days the water was not off color. The mahi mahi are showing up around buoys and there are few boats catching them. Most of these fish are caught trolling mullet, Google eye or pitch baits. The weather is cooler than normal and staying 70 to 80 deg with lots of sun. The water temperature is around 74 deg in most spots. We are still catching a lot of huge Pargos as well around the islands and corbetena and banco. Lot of sardines showing up everywhere so the fishing should be good the coming weeks. Best baits have been trolling mullet/goggle eye, diamond jigs, rapalas,sardines, and pitch baits.
